To bring you 15 minutes of Perú to renew your connection with the culture, I’m sharing a TEDx presentation filmed in Miami in December of 2016. It showcases Afro-Peruvian music.

Tony Succar’s band, “Mixtura” showcases folkloric Afro-Peruvian rhythms such as Landó & Festejo. The band is made up of musicians from Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, Aruba and more. Their blend of musical cultures creates a distinct sound while performing this traditional Afro-Peruvian music.
