Samana Wasi

Since I have been to Pisac Market many times, it doesn’t take me long to discover what is new on each of our visits, and I enjoy finding a quiet spot for reflection while the rest of the group explores the wealth of local crafts available. Begining in 2016 this quiet spot has become a beautiful café located directly on the square: Samana Wasi. “Samana,” in Quechua, Means “place of rest” and “wasi” is “house”. Samana Wasi means House of Rest.

The sound of two very sociable parakeets ads to the beauty of coffee in a tiny courtyard with natural light, gorgeous flowers, and a wealth of color. This little café/restaurant lives up to it’s name.
